On 25 November 2020 the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry released its decisions relating to applications made at the 20 November Procedural hearing. On 2 March 2021 the Commission released its embargoed Reasons Decision which was made on 24 February 2021, which had previously been disclosed on a limited basis to core participants. 

At this hearing, applications were made by the Catholic Church in Aotearoa New Zealand under section 15 of the Inquiries Act 2013 for non-publication orders in respect of certain aspects of survivor witness evidence due to be heard at the upcoming Faith-based Redress hearing.

Commissioners also heard oral submissions from The Salvation Army and The Anglican Church.
