Sharing your experience could make a difference for people in care in the future. We acknowledge the courage it takes to speak out, and we will treat you and the information you share with us with sensitivity and respect.
The Royal Commission provides all survivors with wellbeing support. If you need wellbeing support at any time please get in touch with our Contact Centre on Call 0800 222 727 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org Literacy support is also available if you are submitting a written account.
Before registering with the Royal Commission to share your experiences it is a good idea to check the types of abuse and settings of abuse the Inquiry can investigate, by reading the summary of the Terms of Reference.
Registering with us starts the process of sharing your experiences with the Commission.
You can register by phone or email. You can also email us and ask someone to call you back.
There are many ways you can share your experience such as sharing your story at a private or group session, in person or by video call, by providing a written account or witness statement, or attending a roundtable or hui in your local community. A small number of survivors will be asked to be a witness at a public hearing.
