There is just one week left to make a submission on the Royal Commission’s Redress Issues Paper.  This Issues Paper will help inform our Public Hearing on Redress (Civil Claims and Civil Litigation) to be held in March next year.

As well as hearing your experience about how effective civil litigation and other civil claims processes have been in providing a remedy for abuse in State care, the Inquiry would also be interested to receive suggestions on how claimants can access redress that is not financial, such as education, employment training, counselling and locating families.

We also want to receive submissions on how claimants can obtain redress for a wider range of harm than that which is currently available through the courts.

A copy of the Issues Paper is available here.  Submissions close on Thursday, 12 December.
