Public hearing: Lake Alice Child and Adolescent Unit Nohoanga tūmatanui: Te Wāhanga Tamaiti, Taitamariki o Lake Alice
Survivors of abuse from the Lake Alice Child and Adolescent Unit gave evidence at this public hearing as well as experts and institutional witnesses.
The Inquiry will investigate what happened to children and young people at the unit, and why it happened. It will investigate what the Government, Police and professional bodies did to prevent and respond to abuse of children and adolescents in the unit.
