The Inquiry's role ended when the final report was presented to the Governor-General on 25 June 2024.

With the closure of the Inquiry, the Department of Internal Affairs is the primary contact for all enquiries relating to its administration.

Media enquiries

Enquiries regarding the government's response to the final report should be directed to the Crown Response Unit.

Survivor requests for information shared with the Inquiry

Survivors and others who shared their care experience with the Inquiry can request their private session transcript, witness statement or written account. Copies of other evidence or documents the survivor shared with the Inquiry can also be requested.

The Department of Internal Affairs administers this process.
