The Royal Commission of Inquiry (“the Inquiry") has launched a series of investigations into topics in its Terms of Reference. Investigations will gather evidence in a number of ways including through public hearings. This Practice Note sets out the Inquiry’s procedures relating to public hearings. It should be read together with the Inquiry’s other practice notes, the General Section 15 Restriction Order re-issued on 2 September 2020, and s 14 of the Inquiries Act 2013 (“the Act”).
