He karakia whakamutunga

Puritia kia tina,
Haumi e, hui e, taiki e!

This karakia is based on a modern karakia that has been adapted by Grant Huwyler.

This karakia acknowledges all of the material contained in the report, and acknowledges that this report and all the contributions of survivors has been  elevated and suspended in the sky for all to see in the light of day. The karakia links the closing of this report to the visit survivors and their whānau  and support networks with Ngāti Apa and Ngā Wairiki made to have karakia  at the site of the Lake Alice Hospital in February 2022, in our efforts to bless  the site and to release our ancestral land where the hospital is located from  its shameful legacy, and to calm the waters of our lake, Rotowhero and the  other nearby waterbodies.
