Faith-based Redress Hearing (phase 2) 15 to 29 March 2021

About the hearing

In phase 2 of the Faith-based Redress Hearing the Inquiry heard from survivors about their experiences making claims against the Catholic Church, Anglican Church and the Salvation Army and their respective subsidiary and affiliated entities and institutions (including faith-based schools) for abuse in their care.

The Inquiry also heard from representatives from the highest level at New Zealand’s Salvation Army, and Anglican and Catholic Churches who responded to survivors’ evidence and outlined past and current Redress policies and processes.
